We’re proud to celebrate the launch of Clyde Gateway Innovation, a transformative £500 million regeneration masterplan, designed by 7N Architects for Clyde Gateway, which is set to redefine the regeneration of Glasgow’s east end.
Spanning 2,000 acres across Glasgow and South Lanarkshire, this ambitious, mixed-use, masterplan creates a framework for placemaking and 1 million sq.ft of development. The primary objective of the initiative is to cultivate innovation in the Clyde Gateway area by creating an ecosystem of flexible spaces that will attract and support growing enterprises.
At its heart lies Innovation Central, a dynamic workspace and events hub by the River Clyde, complemented by projects like The Foundry Hotel and high value manufacturing units, which will foster growth in advanced manufacturing, life sciences, and clean energy.
This initiative, led by Clyde Gateway, and supported by Glasgow City Council, South Lanarkshire Council, Scottish Enterprise and the University of Strathclyde, aims to create a support start-ups, universities, and major employers, while delivering jobs and opportunities for local communities.
