7N Architects have been engaged to design a series of villas for a resort and spa on the coast of Corfu, in collaboration with EDAW. The villas have been designed for relaxation in complete privacy and seclusion whilst harnessing the natural elements of sun, wind, water and shade to maximise the experience of this extraordinary
stretch of coastline. Each villa is composed of two linked forms, one for living, one for sleeping, which address a central, sheltered, space for dining, relaxing and enjoying the cool waters of the pool. These spaces, which are focussed on the sea views, will be the heart of these villas using shade, water and the cool sea breezes
to provide a calm refuge from the sun. The pool extends beyond the shaded courtyards leading out to open sun decks with views along the coastline access down to the water’s edge and the villa’s private jetty through terraced gardens.
