Ewan Anderson

Ewan is an architect and urban designer with over 20 years of experience who leads the 7N Architects team.

He was born and brought up in Edinburgh, graduating with a BA in Architecture at Edinburgh College of Art before completing his studies at Oxford Polytechnic where he gained a Diploma in Architecture and a Graduate Diploma in Urban Design.

After four years at Conran and Partners in London, where he was project architect on the Bluebird Gastrodome, he joined Foster and Partners where he spent eight years working on projects including the More London masterplan and the £100m Albion Riverside development where he was the Project Director. He was made a Partner in 2004, and moved back to Edinburgh to take charge of their office in the city, with responsibility for Quartermile and the ForthQuarter masterplan in Granton.

He established Make’s office in Scotland in 2005, where he led and developed a studio which successfully built up a wide ranging portfolio of major projects including; masterplans for Inverness Campus, Speirs Locks, the new Royal Highland Showground and Inverness Airport Business Park, office buildings at 220 Broomielaw and Forth Ports, the new Ross Bandstand, an art hotel in the former Edinburgh Odeon, and the mixed-use Westfield development.

Ewan formed 7N Architects in 2009 and leads the practice as Managing Partner. He has been appointed to serve on A+DS and Fife Council design review panels.
