Launch event for visitor centre
An event was held yesterday to celebrate the release of Scottish Government Town Centre Regeneration Funding for the construction of the River Ericht Visitor Centre. Attended by local MSP and Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth John Swinney and MSP Murdo Fraser, the occasion marked the launch of the next stage of the ambitious project which aims to regenerate Blairgowrie and Rattray.
Planning permission was recently granted for the visitor centre scheme following an intense period of design and consultation headed by 7N. The centre is to be constructed on the site of an historic mill and will act as a showcase for natural energy, ecology and local producers.
